7 laps? No! I usually just have to wait about a lap to a lap and a half depending on ambient temperature and track temp. I WAS taking it really easy, just accidentally got on the throttle a little too aggressively. Shit happens, spend enough time on a track and you'll go down either by pushing too hard or stupid mistakes (this being the later). While fixing the bike I'll do some upgrades. I'm also going to be getng a new one piece suit come tax return time!

The problem with the world today is that there is no one to eat the stupid people!

What tires you use: street/track tire or race tires. I heard that the street/track warm up faster because of the threads and race tires take longer. Do you use warmers?

Here are a few pictures of my recent track day day at Eastern Creek in Sydney, Australia.
Got some funny looks as mine was the biggest bike there. Mainly zx-10s,cbrs and gsx 1000's.
Most were purpose track bikes brought on trailers, racing slicks, own mechanics, etc.
I just turned up on my bike with my back pack.
Its fair to say that they got me in the corners but down the straight..........I mowed everything down.
Got her up to 250km/h down the straight. The look of amazement and new found respect from the regular guys on their track bikes was priceless. Hope to do it again soon and move up to the next (faster) class.

It was probably also the only bike with a center stand mowing everybody down, lol Congratulations!

I agree Rook. Mid August seems too early for the last track day of the season. But it is merely the last for this particular track day org. at this track that is somewhat close to me

I really enjoyed the first track day
Rained pretty much ruined my morning sessions but the dry afternoon made up for it. Wow

Learned quite a bit; Mostly cones/points to look for corner entry apex and exit so as to know where your lines should be

I learned a good tire can be trusted to hold grip; if you do your part, it will do its part

Another comes up in late October I am shooting for. Great brand New track at the national corvette museum in bowling green KY

Hearing about all your track days is making me really hang out to get my 14R and 10R out to some track days. Last bike I had on the track was a ZX11, and what a blast that was. You learn more in one track day than you do in a year of road riding.

Look ahead, relax & GO HARD!

Yes

And what I found is that a lot of what you Learn May not necessarily be from another individual or instructor, but you can also learn a great deal regarding what you and your bike can do by applying what you already knew, but are now, for the first time, able to apply it in the right environment and conditions

If that makes any sense ....

I'm curious...I know the straights you can open her up...but what kinds of speeds are you carrying through those corners?

I was clipping along through the corners pretty good, especially when compared to how Cautious my cornering has been up to this point. I was on my BMW though, not the zx14r

I would like to take the big bike in the spring though
