On my 08 ZX, I had both the Corbin and stock seat. Corbin made the peg / seat relationship worse for me and was quickly put on the shelf. The stock seat was okay but wanted to try the C14 seat on the ZX. I put on an 08 C14 seat and the peg / seat combo was much better. Passengers liked the C14 seat as it was contoured and they didn't slide forward.
My 07, which I just bought, came with a Spencer modded C14 seat. 135 miles home after buying the bike I was so impressed with how comfy it was. The stock seat is now on the shelf.
Funny how I wasn't too crazy about the C14 seat on the C14 yet I found it to be pretty good on the ZX. Perhaps it was the bars / seat / peg combo.
I still have the Corbin from my 08 and used it on the 07 to attach the rear cowl to. Due to having lowered pegs on the bike, I expect the peg / seat combo to be more comfy than my 08 ZX.
So yes, I currently have 4 seats for the ZX. Stock ZX, stock C14, Spencer C14 and a Corbin. Expensive, but it was worth it to me to find what works for me. Perhaps the next one will be a Sargent.

I have a Richs seat. Its custom made to my butt and the best mod on a very modified bike.
Contact him and see what he can do for you via the mail or ride up and have him make it for you.
He is a trip! And definitely knows his stuff.
When I went in for my 'fitting' some folks had ridden in from Idaho on Indians, a rich cat Uhauled his mega buck chopper in for a Ostrich covered seat.
Mine in leather, with a gel insert was $300, a couple of years ago.
If you come up there is a group of us who can take you on good rides and show you around.
He has decked out his new shop with firepits, barbque, etc.
Its truly a bikin experience working with him!

Handcrafted seat/bum fit?Hope its a Hooters girl who does the fitting If you search the ZRX11 site they had a seat mod where you cut a stock seat and added 3/4 inch of high denisty camp foam,it worked great on a ZRX11

Came home to nice nice surprise yesterday... A Tobin seat. Love it!
I'm gonna have Rich's Customs do a seat for me sometime this spring, but got a deal on the Tobin that was just too good to pass up.

Motordog1,
Love the set-up.. I have a set of Givis on mine as well, but I have the Sargent seat with the rear storage pod. I am considering buying the Givi top case and adapter plate, but my concern is that the top case will interfere with my storage pod behind my seat. Does the top case hang over the back of the seat at all? Asking a lot here, but would really appreciate a picture of your bike with the top case fitted and the rear of the seat visible in the picture.

Hey BG...I did the new image seat deal.Good work..except,the pillion just didn't come out right.Had to redo the pillion myself. Here's a pic for ya...I ended up removing the whole deal and re-installing the cover on another connie seat, which I shaved down and reshaped.

Ya...that last pic is NOT of my reshaped seat. But yeah, the difference is really not that much...lowered about 1 and 1/2 inches. It will feel different through the bars though...a bit.More like being in better control.Feeling more like part of the bike instead of "on" the bike.Hope that helps.I gotta say though...the comfort level is very good....for ME.Now a heavier guy...I can't say...may not be enough seat padding or width for em?But my skinny arse..it's excellent.
I did not expect the Connie foam to work the same shaved down...but it actually did...so I can only say that the foam Kawasaki uses for their connie seats is the Bomb.Don't know WHY they don't use it on their 14's...that eludes me totally!.
