Here is one that always brings back a memory or two for me..It was the 70s, what can I say..
A Denco powered H2, nice!
Kof....Whatever possessed you to make that trip at that time of year?????
To make a long story short, I attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix at the time and needed a way to get around town. Public transportation around school campus was either spotty or non existent. My bike was sitting in the garage, so I flew back to Brooklyn for Christmas and took the cross country trip. It took me six days to get there. A year later after graduation, I rode the bike back to Brooklyn.
Here is a pic of my early drag racing days!

This thread reminded me of the following photo I just found a couple
of weeks ago.
It's the only remaining photo of my 1979 KZ1000LTD Bought
new had Kerker's installed and jetted for $4500 out the door.
(**If that's anyone's grandmother I swear I never laid a hand on her!)

Piken, the LTD’s were very popular, this is me at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ, and my friend’s KZ900 LTD. Both bikes had Kerker exhausts. I still had a good head of hair. Lol

Love those KZs!! This thread is gonna make me pull out my tub of photos LOL...
These are pretty much the only few photos I have from those days. When I was younger I didn’t liked being photographed, now I regret not having taken more photos. I might have maybe a couple more but that’s about it.

You old bastards, I was riding a skateboard then......had a Yammi DT-100...no pics, thank god!
Thats funny. Had that same bike. I stripped the lights off of it. There was a whole pack of us kids use to terrorize the neighborhoods riding the streets to a place we called 80 acres. Now known as Microsoft.
My first street bike was a 75 Suzuki GT750 aka the water buffalo. Found one on craigs list local that am thinking of getting and restoring.
Great memories seeing these pics.

Now YOU are bringing back Memories David :)
In 1970 I lived in Clearlake Calif. In the neighborhood were about 6 young teens that raced their bikes until all hours of the night. I had a wife and very young child. I finally got the kids to agree to cut teh bikes off at ten pm . I did it by offering to take them to the motocross events in Chico, Yuba City and Marysville .Loaded my van , trailer one other pickup and kids. Worked out pretty good as I had a Suzuki 250 dualsport that I altered some and raced with the kids..Excellent times...
These guys are probably preparing to lap me (371) LOL..

sorry chrly, been away a while. We were gone 3 weeks, 5000 + miles, and camped every night but 2. The other guy had a stock Suzuki 750 so I had to carry some of his stuff too.
