UA, Nike and the like are good stuff. I have dozens in various sleeve lengths, necks and thickness. They are great for wearing under jackets and coats and for dry suits. I use them for warmth and to keep cool depending upon the environment I am in. They are polyester and or a cotton blend so they are relatively wrinkle free, wash well and last forever.

This is what I use. Made in the USA. High quality. Great customer service. A fraction of the cost of UA gear.

Jtemple, W, Bobs,
This is the stuff I keep seeing, Your text to link here...
It's like underwear, but it has padding, around the joints and worn under motorcycle gear in the event of an upset!

Hey Wolfy, Yes I have and use some of the Under Armor stuff. It is good for base layer stuff. Works good for me on fairly cool days. The only problem I have with it is that the WIND will still penetrate it so you kinda need something above it to block the wind from you. The OTHER stuff I bought this year was from CycleGear called "Freeze Out" CycleGear Freeze Out and I can tell you that it needs to be COLD out to be able to wear it or you will burn up in it!! It has a fleece inner lining AND blocks the wind. You would probably get a lot more use out of it up in the cold country than we get here in Oklahoma. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

The forcefield gear has got my attention. Looks comfortable and effective. Pricey for sure, but cheaper than skin grafts. You buy them 1st wolf and let me know if there worth it.

There's no better base layer than Under Armour on a hot day (hot days are all we get down my way)- there are competitors that approach it in quality, but none that really match it.
I have no experience with their cold weather clothing, but I'd bet it works as advertised.
Take a look at the Forcefield Pro Shirt and Pants if you have a non-armored jacket and ride in jeans (both are made to go under your outer layer)- it's great CE-level-2 protection in a lightweight package.

The bath towel isn't cutting it?
All of the padded gear isn't crash tested and rated, so you have to rely on testimonials.
LDC comfort gear comes highly recommended from the adventure boys. Its all the same technology in the fabrics. All your paying extra for is a gimmick or label.

I figure with the way this winter has been around here, we are in for a long cold spring. I had been wanting to get into some heated gear, but the cost keeps throwing me off. That, and the fact that Im generally ok at the temps I will ride in, except my fingers, toes, and neck. I already grabbed an under armor balaclava, and wool blend socks.
So I took the plunge and ordered the cycle gear freeze out stuff.
After some decent quick reviews I found, and the +60% off - sold me.
Ordered basically a whole suit worth. helmet, glove, and boot liners; along with the lowers and the zip up gilet jacket. Ill let you guys know how it is when it comes in. 110 bucks shipped. Ill wear the stuff other times in the cold, so it will get uses even if it sucks at speed on a bike.

The freeze out gear came today. Seems like decent quality. Stuff fits pretty much true to size, although the helmet liner and boot liners were almost too tight. I ordered large in everything, but maybe could have gone with an xl on those two items. Everything else, and XL would have been too big. Im 5'10 and just under 200# at the moment, but going down. I'm broad shouldered and wear a size 9.5/10 shoe.
I wanted the stuff to fit fairly snug, so it would be ok under my outer layers. unfortunately my riding boots are quite tight at the ankle with socks on, and the liners. might have to get a different pair of boots for the colder temps, and go a half size larger.
The true test will be if it really blocks the wind, for warmth its as good as anything I already have, and hopefully breathes better. I'm pleased so far.
