G'day all massive warning please don't delay your rehab like myself, had I bin told 11 weeks ago not 2 days ago!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT S M O K E with broken bones,I dont smoke cigs but did socially inhale something else !! well up 2 days ago I did !! just wished this could have bin told to some one as nieve as I was that it kills all bone regrowth with no eceptions If this helps just "ONE" other mate-NOW !! or in the future than at least this thread is worth while !!!!!!!! What the hell ya'll smokin? I've smoked all my life and been broken up from auto & motorcyle wrecks, all breaks healed in expected time.

Damm Bean I didnt know that shit I have been smoking since the accident cigs that is Dr never told me that info and he says Im healing within schedule time frame sorry to hear that man

YES I was told this thing on the 1 of september,but I had the surgery on the 17/june this year,my partner is a nurse at lylemackewin hospital here in South Australia she replied what is bad about smokin cigs ? he then said the toxins slow down your recovery, an if you smoked pot then it kills all your bone growths totally, so that made me worry about being around passive smokers ever since surgery!!! now if ya look at my most recent xray pic you can see there is absolutely no improvement on my femur over the last 11 weeks then straight away I've stopped my only bad habbit smoking plus being to close to any other smokers the day I found this out !! the most important thing about me talking about this is because I would not wish this !! on anybody else

ps.EZX I too have a long history of the same as you but my b/b is quite a bad one this time you only have to look at my most recent xray to see this is fairdinkum mate,it's in (now im another statistic)

Yer gonna heal up fine.You HAVE to.I've smoked on and off most off my life...and during some pretty important healing sessions.Never affected my healing.You want to get well...okay...tell yerself daily "I am healing".And pretty soon,you'll be living it.(actually,you already are....mending just fine)Those are some badazz breaks there...gonna take some time to get together.But it is and you will.
