Just got my bike from Johnny Turbo's shop (Exoticycle). Holy Mother of Jesus! He put Wossner pistons, rods coated the pistons and a few other things. She starts off on low boost 245 RWHP and when I hit the high beam she jumps up to 319 RWHP. It's like being strapped to a rocket!

I picked up a 5 gallon pail of C16 Race fuel ($100). I'm going to run a 50/50 mixture of 92 non-ethanol and C16 which is 117 octane so that will be .5 * 92 + .5 * 117 = 104.5 octane--that should stop any type of detonation no matter how hard I push her.

I do not think my checkbook could handle that one....................

Would you care to share what the boost levels were for each of your power levels? What were you using for fuel on the dyno pulls? I assume not intercooled? Hope it's not to much to ask. Aloha, Rick B...

low boost is 6 and high is at 9. He dynoed it with 93 octane pump fuel and yes it is NOT intercooled.

With rods and pistons why is he keeping the boost so low. You can easily run 15lbs and be in the mid 300s and with your mixture of fuel "too expensive to run all the time" IMO you could be in the 400hp range.Is there something I'm missing?

Bobk this is a street bike plus he wants me to get use to the power before he takes me up to 400 RWHP. On the street, as you know, with a simple flick of the wrist, you break traction and are in the rev limiter--not so at a well-prepped track.

OK, I understand. Makes perfect sense I just didn't understand what the plan was. There is no doubt traction is a major problem with these bikes, but WHAT a problem. Like Romans has always said, once you go boosted you will never go back!

Are you planning on stretching the wheelbase?

I'm at 6" over with a Roaring Toyz swing-arm, but Johnny says that won't be enough when he takes me up to 400 rwhp.
