I just ordered a techmount stem mount for my 14r. Question is can I just get an otterbox for my note 2 phone and mount the otterbox to the mount? I see the screw holes on the techmount device if you go on the website, but for the otterbox I only see the hard case with the belt clip on. Please help because I just ordered over my phone to have it delivered to my house when I get back from vacation. And I need to know if I should get an otterbox for my big ass note 2 phone. Thanks guys!!

Never used on of these ZA racer, but I am tempted to get this set up. If I understand you correctly you want to know if the tech mount will work with and receive your phone while in the otter box? I have a gal here at Telus that can research anything, however the techmount would be outside her specialization. I am sure you have done so, but did you try contacting customer support for the tech mount unit you purchased. If you have already answered this question please post the final conclusions you made.

Ram Mount has a stem mount that works well in my 14R. They also have a phone mount that claims to be compatible with an iPhone 5 in an otterbox. I was looking at it myself.

I'm off to radio world for a ram stem mount today for the 14.

It installed in around 10 minutes, at one point it took two hands.

Works for the GPS

Cost 18 bucks incl tax.

I would think you could get a mount for almost any device that is current.

Wolf, if you want to take calls you would need some kind of Bluetooth headset/helmet I think
I don't want calls on the bike, rather be riding.

Wow the techmount I ordered was 96 bucks to my door. But I paid for 3 day shipping. I only wanted it for my phone for doing top speed runs on my phones gps.
