shuts down
03/07/13 3:15 PM

I have a 2007 14 with 10,000 miles with a pc 3 hooked up. Everything else is completly stock. When ridding it shuts down and then fires itself back up while going down the highway. I have re-set the map back to stock again, but still stalls ! Sometimes sitting at a traffic light it will just die! If anyone can help I would apreciate it ! Very frustrating!!! Thanks

Poor ground at the PC.
It says it comes back on line so it does not sound like a sensor is taking a dump. No, it loses a contact, cycles and comes back on. It says I have a bad ground or loose at an injector. Something like that.

Thanks for your reply. I cam from a 2000 R1 with race carbs and really not sure about the computer on a power commander with fuel injection. Learning as I go. Got my special edition zx14 with only 8000 miles on it! Couldn't pass this deal up. I repaired the ground wire from the reserve mount bolt and made it have contact the way it was suppose to be! Thankyou

Yeah the coolant resivor is a terrible spot for a ground, I spliced some extra wire on and extended the ground to the main frame/battery ground (please solder your connections if you do that).
