Happy New Year all Im new to the forum and have built a 3/4 scale F 1 car with a 2006 ZX14R motor and was wondering if any one knows what sensors this motor needs to run well ?

Never thought of it. Obviously you are using a stock ECU then? All sensors are going to do is throw a code to the stock multifunction meter so you know something is wrong. I can't think of any codes that will hinder performance except the top speed limiter.
You will want to pull the secondary throttle plates on that 06.

You got THAT FAR with your build, and are just now asking what sensors the motor needs to run right? Weird, anyway ...
What sensors the motor needs to run right? All of them!
OK I'm being a smart arse, but I do wonder, what sensors would you think would be OK to omit?

Welcome... maybe this might show i? If not, keep trying.
Main needs:
1. Crank sensor /or no start.
2. Cam sensor /or no start.
3. Vehicle down sensor /or no start.
4. Intake vacuum sensor /or codes to method for heavy load which messes with the ignition timing.
5. Throttle position /or codes to method for light loads w/timing altering once again.
6. Water temp sensor /or fan stays on, code uses a fixed temp value for calculations.
7. Gear position sensor /or the code is set and uses a different ignition curve.
8. Inlet air temp sensor /or sets a fixed number and limps the system.
9. Atmospheric sensor /or is fixed @ 14.7 psi which means not at FULL POWER like any of the other sensors limp to.
10. ECU main relay /or no saved data, restart, etc.
Not needed:
a. Speedo sensor /or shows no mph/kp or 0 at the dash.
b. Subthrottle sensor /or tells the stepper when to open and close but you safety wire the sub-shaft open instead.
c. Subthrottle's stepper motor /or simply disconnect it off the main wire harness since the shaft is locked open.
d. PAIR actuator /and place a closed end rubber fitting over inlet nipple.
Just for grins and say you are using the original year dash/harness/ECU:
1. Turn key on and does the dash show a code(s) and not the dash with all the water temp, fuel, gear window, etc?
2. If so; hold both trip and mode buttons down simultaneously until the dash reads normal again.

Great I finally see a side view ! Thanks for the info. I found another thread where some one builds buggies with these motors and he has all the wiring info to make it run. I got a motor from a wrecker that sold it as a car kit motor with the harness it needs. i know its a little backwards but I'm sure ill get it working. All the parts are custom made and its for the street I think it will be a blast to drive and show. It will have an aluminum body and the gearing is now about 3 to 1 instead of the stock 2.5 to 1 to accommodate the extra weight. here's a picture of the front end. http://www.zx14ninjaforum.com/userfiles/prehme/car%20project%203.jpg

Word of caution here, I'd definitely disconnect the motor if i was going to secure the flies open. The electric motor will still try to close the flies. The gears between the motor and the shaft will probably grind out or maybe the electric motor will burn out trying to turn most of the time you run the engine below 6000 rpm. I'd just remove the flapper plates from the shaft.

You need to put the tags around the url. Tags are [img]the url of your photo[img]......except you need to put a slash /img in the brackets for the end tag, not just [img] for both beginning and end. If I typed it as it should be, it would be invisible in this post. OR you can just click the icon that looks like a photo (without the plus sign) from the message box browser. That will make the tags for you in your message box but they will not be visible in your post...butthe pic will be if you put it's url in the tags.
IDK why it's not working for you. I just click on the thumbnail in my photos and the forum inserts the image tags and url for me.

Just mounted the dash panel and instruments and installed the fuel level sensor next i need to seal the gas tanks then paint them and mount them. Then comes the radiators and fans and all the cooling lines and the the exhaust system. Work Work Work !!Heres a picture of the drive line. \

Love it! wish i could work as fast as you. Dammit i just gave up today. It was 7 degrees and the sun was gi=oing down at 4 o'clock. I dropped my flashlight out of my coat and busted it (because it was embrittled by the cold)and I couldn't hold the parts anymore. Hurt too much. Hell with this, I said.
