blue07; Car or bike specific, as long as the oil doesn't have friction modifiers it's fine for a wet clutch. I just switched my bike to Amsoil (1700 miles), and took the first ride of the year. Shifting is so smooth, I had a hard time getting neutral (partly because of new boots) kept hitting second. Didn't notice anything different about how the motor ran though.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

Ya-those new boots will do that!!!!I just started running this R.P.-so far, very good "feeling" anyway.New oil always "feels" better anyway IMO.I'll see how she "feels" in 2000 miles!........"kept hitting second"....okay-now you've got my curiosity up.HOW do you hit second from neutral?(or from first at a dead stop?)If yer hittin second while stopped(in first)-somethin's NOT working like it's supposed to.These trannies won't shift to second from a dead stop from first!Only to neutral.

pulled into driveway in first, stopped, flicked into neutral, neutral light flickered then went out. Looked at gear indicator and it read 2. Maybe the Amsoil is TOO slippery! I'm sure it's just the boots, and I couldn't feel neutral. Bike ran perfect for 100 miles, and mechanic at shop didn't have a problem.
