So who has the Ivan's re-flash? Looking into having one done. Don't want top HP. Want the slop taken out and a few things disabled.

Ivan has been highly reputed ever since I got into bikes in 08 and probably before that. There are other tuners that are well respected too. I never had a flash but I would think there is little difference between tuner A and tuner B's flash, as long as they're knowledgeable. If you want to go really cheap, look into the Schnitz flash, I think the basic flash with fueling and timing is about 65 bucks. I hope you get some additional input on this.

Ivan is top shelf if you are looking for street tuning. I have used him going back to the 1980's when he was only offering jet kits. It says a lot for a tuner when Rob Muzzy who knows a thing or two about tuning used Ivan's jet kits rather than developing his own. I am using Ivan's flash on my 2012 ZX14R and as usual with Ivan's work it runs perfectly. I suspect you could get a HP or two more from a tuner that concentrates strictly on the numbers but not on the overall tuning package. Ivan's is the only tuner I know of that buys a bike to develop his tune and street tunes it as well as just developing a flash on his dyno.

I think Ivan's tuning philosophy is smooth running. So to achieve smooth, it's more set rich. And with rich you get more torque. I'll cut to the chase and show 3 AFR's on the chart scale.

12-13 AFR = Best torque; smoother running rich >>> Ivan's setting.
14 AFR = Best overall; of both ends or OEM out of the crate is the setting.
16 AFR = Best economy; safe lean running is to have a tuning tool to remap this to this setting.

I have the Ivan's tune on my 2016 ZX-14r I'm very happy with it...
for the record he also tuned my 04 and 08 ZX'10r's I have had other tunes on other bikes and his are like butter....

@ultra321, I did go with Ivan's. Purchased a second hand used CPU and sent it off to him. I am very happy with the upgrade.
