Ya-Thanks HUB-I was just worried that perhaps it would damage the ECU(if indeed the ECU is "working overtime"in adjusting the firing position while running).I really don't know how that works.I'm pretty sure I read that in the troubleshooting part of the manual, that the ECU kind of steps in for something like this?Maybe I misunderstood. My fuel mileage went up as well since I reinstalled the PCIII-BUT....that in itself could be just a coincidence-it was only getting 29 mpg after I removed it from the loop. Then I reinstalled-I was shocked..she got 41 mpg,and has stayed there..But even before all this started occurring, she was getting 36 mpg with the PC III.At the reinstall,I lowered my fuel adjustments across the board(faceplate adjustments)by two bars.So this COULD be why the mileage jumped? But as I said-the starting problem is still there, sometimes I can trigger the code(FI) if while I'm cranking,I open the throttle all the way, once or twice during that.Other times,if I only open it all the way(I tried what you said about just cracking it-that didn't work in this scenario)maybe just once.Turn off,Then try the restart-it will crank several times, then fire-after that, every time I go for restart-she'll fire right up.And running, she's very "normal"no missing or lack of power,or backfiring. But I can trigger that code if I do it like I said above-so it's not going away!
