Here in Texas we are required to get all vehicles safety inspected by the state annually. I got pulled over by a city LEO riding a 2012 Kawasaki Concours 14. He used to ride a Busa. He was a very nice guy. He gave me a warning ticket because I hide my sticker on a swinging plate behind the license plate. And it was not "displayed", even though I "displayed" it to him after I was stopped.

I have to say that I have only been pulled over about 6 times on this bike and have never received a real ticket, even though that I technically deserved one about 5 of those times. Most LEO's really just seem to want to talk bike. Thanks to all of the tolerant LEO's of SETX!

yeah, damn you guys have ways to patch up your record even if you DO get busted. Traffic school?? We can only do that every 5 years and not more than 2 points back. There is no deferred adjudication either.

Yeah, the more stories that I read from all over makes me realize that Texas is a rider friendly place to be. Plus in South East Texas we ride year round. The only thing that could make it better is if we had a track near by.

No inspections here and I have seen some monster bikes, that should be pulled off the road.
On an off topic note, love the rear smoked lenses...nice touch on your green machine...

My boy AJS alerted me to a green version online, but after seeing your lights I am in a dilemma.
We ordered a smoked rear light cluster, once I install it, then I will see what I will do, go green or smoke em like you did.

Wolfy, mine are more blacked out than smoked. I did not prep the lens by sanding before painting so to get it to look even I went with extra coats that made them real dark. You tube VHT Nightshades for a ton of how to's. to make up for how dark they are I installed all LED bulbs to show up brighter.

You must have MAD NINJA skills, my boy AJS just informed me that on the zx 14r, you have to remove all the fairings to get at the fronts. He is a skilled mechanic with surgically precise skills and it took him several hours. I might do the back, and wait till I do the valve inspection to match the front.

Looks crazy sharp though.
