I was reading ur posts bout the flies mod where u say tie the flies open with wire,but what else do u have to do exactly,maybe you could post a few more pics,u just had the 1 pic. I dont wanna strip the gears on the actuator,and what do u mean by "you will lose your dash" I'm trying to decide if i wanna mod the flies,I dont wanna do the removal of the screws. Does the bike not run as smooth with the flies out,most of my riding is between 3500-4500 rpms,I do a lot of freeway riding,but would like to feel the full potential of the motor,any help would be appreciated,thanks

thanks hub,I appreciate it,I have an 07,so the dash fix is easy,I'll give ur method a shot,too bad its not as easy as it was on the vmax,I just unplugged the v-boost when it opened fully and it stayed open,didnt need to wire it to hold it open. The vboost system is similar to the flies,they opened at 6k rpm,tho i noticed it was doggier in the lower rpm's,but I guess you have to give up a lil down low to gain mid and up high,thanks again,you r the man

hey hub i did the mod,it was easy,i have an 07,and i tried your method for clearing the dash,but it did not work,i'm stil getting the fi error,so if i cant get it to clear,i'll just put it back to normal. Also i unhookd what looks to be a throttle pos sensor on the right side of the flie shaft,and when i hooked it back up,it still said error. I was thinking that doin the mod this way,you are disabling that throttle pos sensor,so maybe its better to remove the plates,because the computer wont know the plates are out,if that makes sense,but at least this mod was quick and let me decide if i wanna keep the mod this way,i rode it around the block,and it def makes a difference in performance,so i will ride it tonite to my local bike night,and decide if i want to keep it this way,any help with the dash error would be great,thanks,Don

well hub,the mod worked great,the bike has fierce acceleration below 6k rpms now,but unfortunately on the way the the local bike nite,a car hit me as i was doin 75 mph on the freeway and the bike is wrecked,i actually got up and walked,just scraped and bruised,spent the nite in the hospital,not sure what the insurance co is gonna do,i hope they just total it,but not sure if i'm gonna get another bike,kinda sucks,i luv the 14,i only had 1040 miles on it,never really got to enjoy it,but thanks for all your help,i appreiciate
