It's going to be tough on Rossi. They were very good friends, and to be involved, it will be difficult to get over. MtoGP can't afford the loss of exciting riders like Simoncelli.

Yep if I was him (Rossi) I'll just take the rest of the year off. What he is going to find out about the duke during the remaining 2 races he can find out during off season testing. Then maybe Sic would want him to race. It must have been only the second time CL crashed in his entire career. I hope his shoulder is doing good. I was going get a pass next year and invite people over since I'll be buying a house but without Sic..it'll probably be boring. Maybe Spies, or Crutchlow will make interesting... and I doubt Lorenzo is going to be over losing his finger next year.

You shuck that shit off or you are no racer. It puts you on the raggedge to stop or continue. I'd race for Marco... See? Too easy. Fuck you! I race for me or no one is going to show up. Who you feeling sorry for? This is ego/survival of the fittest. Can't rule out pinballing. Crashing makes you a fasterider. Try it sometime.

Hub; A little different when it's a good friend, not just a competitor. I hope everyone can shrug it off, and get back to business. That's what Simoncelli would've wanted.

I don't know, alg8er? Maybe it's me, but like I said, one guy talked about how he went pro with a TZ750 and eats the wall and dies. Did that scare me or fell sorry in some way? Things change in an instant and you don't dwell on it. Rossi goes into that abyss... Same as saying, 'seat gap.' There, your chest is hugging the steering wheel, your back is off that part of the seat? Seatscared! Get it? Get out of my race car. Get off my race bike. Racers Only Shit Here is the law of any closed course.

I've been down the road, seen death happen as in prepare for it. If you are not prepared for that day... Walk away.

Yeah hub but you had everything to prove at least to youself, those guys are riding the best bikes on the best level. Rossi has titles, fame and the babes. He has more to loose and less to gain. Racing is like a drug to them but u win that much your high is not that great so you look for something to use as motivation. I was watching Faster for the tenth time the other day, VR crashed during testing at the japan gp, his gloves wore out during the crash he was shook. Another thing is that the gp is not the tt people are not used to see people dying. You think Rossi or Lorenzo would try the TT, if your answer is yes then they're gna be ok.

To me TT and GP guys are two diff breed of racer. You have to have balls for GP but for the TT you have to be coocoo. Look at the way Conor Cummins came back... I may not know much but I can't see who in moto GP could have done the same.
Again RIP Sic you'll be greatly missed. I hope they'll be good to go next year and therefore honor him.

I crashed a Japauto. I crashed another whack independent frame design. Any other bike I jumped on, meaning production, I could send it into a corner. They are more generic. But, the one off's you need more time or eat it. Look at the twitchy jauto. Look at the other frame with the poor trail and plowed the front end on me. A one hit ride and they needed rake/trail work in the front end or rear? It says, do not bring up 'best bikes' when you talk racing/racer. My thought is the bike means nothing. It's a recipe. The bike tastes good going in or it should have never hit the stove take a sip.

There are no stone walls, brick buildings, rain, cobbles, competition. That flag drops, you run your own race. You peak or give that 100% and you know damn well there is always someone faster than you. You wish they break. You wish they crash. You wish you can beat them at their own game fair and square, don't come to some race and not give me your all when I'm trying my best to give you mine.

You'll look bad, sandbagging coming in 2nd. I came for 1st place or I don't show up to race. I'm going to prove to myself preservation. Prove to me, you are no better than me. I can do what you do. I do my race, you can't tell me how to come in 1st. I do that, not you. Then, don't tell me shit then.

See that race face? Show me how you get out of this one. Tell me why you were not behind me taking that trophy away from me then? That is the fun part. Someone is going to tell me to set my bike up this way and I don't even need a suspension change. I stand up and there is the new setting I gotta come in for WOT change? My diaper?

watch out Hub got the qualification tires ON. Loool classical Hub, did you tell them that when you die you don't wanna be in a coffin but on a bike? You need to go try a TT just for kicks.

Hub; When your best friend dies, and it might have been you that killed him, accident, racing, or not, it can be hard to take. Rossi has talked about how they were longtime friends, and hung out all the time. Right after the collision, you could see Rossi look down at Simoncelli, and his posture changed immediately. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oh no, that is forever. I took out a guy like I said. Haunts me to this day. I sort of like the speed of life and all that. How long I lived, still taking chances like today with every corner. I let traffic go ahead, smack these corners and the cars on the other side are coming right at me. Guys at the other site made a comment about another one leaving the group. The one comment said that he was just behind Marco, you just can't see him yet...

Its amazing how a photo can conjure up such , feeling and emotion,

riding away in the clouds, gone forever, looks lonely and as if buy himself.

should of had maybe 2 bikes in the distance, sitting back waiting for him, maybe Sheene and Dunlop

we all would have a list I supose

Yep I was thinking the same. Imagine going through the same corner next year. Just like Lorenzo will be thinking his finger lay somewhere in a corner in Australia. The man I see coming back with a vengeance is Ben spies. It's going to be tough for Colin too because he knows his bike delivered the fatal blow and he's a funny guy. Is he suppose to forget about his humor? If he jokes around people are going to say is an ass but that is his personality. Just brought the new MCN home... they've got a full section on tthe duke and VR. Also stuff about the 1000cc. Good stuff!

Super Sic Tribute
I may have been dreaming but it looks like VR had the eye of the tiger. I hope he starts to ride more like Sic next year. That's would nice if the incident had a positive impact on him.

Ya....something like that has GOT to get to ya one way or another if you care at all. They all know the risks involved.Could happen to anyone of em.I was thinking last night....WHAT IF.....there was NO way you could crash...at all....no matter how fast you went.Would the draw still be the same? It's that 'crash factor' IMO that keeps em(anyone who pushes their abilities)in the game...on the street OR the track.Wouldn't really be the same IF you knew you wouldn't crash. It's the edge of limits that make you better...you wouldn't be doing that probably if you knew you'd never lose it.

No way possible that I could ever approach what they do on a regular basis. No way. It's one thing to 'think ahead" through your favorite mountain roads or whatever...at a sane speed.Having to concentrate lap after lap at ridiculously fast speeds..THAT takes a special person. To be able to repeat the things that work...in split seconds, time after time...amazing.These guys are just amazing. On TWO WHEELS.If yer in that game...you don't just walk away....no matter what...you keep on going. This aint no hobby to these guys. It's their life.

I liked Simoncelli a lot and I didn't feel like riding the day I heard about it, but thinking about it knowing that you could crash, get paralysed or die just make every corner, every sweeper just that much enjoyable especially when you know half of the population is scared about that kind of freedom. After all this is why chicks dig bikers we live in the moment.

Yeah I got girls everywhere beating them back with a stick

Having to concentrate lap after lap at ridiculously fast speeds

can remember racing years ago and the connection between speed ,fatigue and crashing . could always do a fast lap keeping up with most of them , but putting a bunch of them together for the length of the race was almost beyond me.

Concentration makes you consistent and smooth,
Joey Dunlop once said " if first you are smooth, then the speed will come "

could never concentrate for that long a period, GP riders are the best .
