Those bolts you mentioned are the gold beauties, yes? Did you make those gold or find them like that?
Wow!

Yes. They are aluminum socket cap bolts (must be M8) from ProBolts with aluminum cone washers also from ProBolts. The threaded sleeves are also aluminum and from Probolts.

Nitrous!! Cant imagine what that feels like... you tried it yet?

No. not yet. The bottle brackets attach to my tail subframe but I removed the lower rails. Looks better and shaves about 3/4 lb. So I need to carve out some adapters to mount the bottle brackets to the top rail of the tail about an inch higher. The brackets will come right out of the tail fairings where the subframe was....almost like it was designed that way. I find more stuff like that that just works maybe with no tweeking at all. There is even a plug in the airbox where a nitrous hose could go. AND holes in the battery box for wires to pass through. I already used one. Stick a grommet in and it's perfect. For now, I have the nitrous line hooked up to fittings in the airbox covers but I plan to go to a spray bar at some point. I have a cool progressive controller waiting to go in. Big plans ahead.

Here's a link to pics of the bottles on the 14

You should see my gauges when there done. Right now they look like this.

but eventually, they will be in the dash. There will be 6 in all. Got em sitting here.

OH, here's a closeup of a Gilles Tooling axle adjuster. Needs gold bolts! You will spend your way to oblivion with ProBolts BTW so be forewarned.

Holy cow!!! Overwhelmed with cool right now! The whole smash of the nitrous setup is SICK!!! The view of the dash is ridiculously sweet. So pro bolts again on the ends of your axle? That is a killer detail as well.
Yes the chop is my rolling testament to my fabbing. Lots of hand fabbed stuff on there. Quite a rush to ride, with half the horsepower of our z's you still gotta hold on pretty tight.

Back to the 200/55, you should have no problem with that but you can see from my previous pic, probably no taller than that. I think a 200/60 would rub at high speed. Also, after investigating today, I see my axle is on the second mark which is right where it should be for stock wheel base....I did change the sprocket and I may have been thinking of where it was with the old one...IDK-

So pro bolts again on the ends of your axle?

Nope, those are Chinese off Ebay but they are not super cheap. I think the front and rear were ~$80 total. I have orange ones now. I lost the blue one. LOL Slipped out on the highway somewhere! Use locktite on those! Kind of weird though because there is a bolt on both sides and when you take it out, it will only come out of the side the axle nut is on. You gotta hold one bolt while turning the one on the opposite side. Hope the bolt on the axle nut side never decides to break first. It won't slide out the other end and nothing to grab onto to take the puck off. I think they changed the design now to avoid that problem. I take it off every time the rear wheel comes off and so far the bolt opposite of the nut side has broke free first every time. I will permanent locktite the side I want to stay on when i get the Pro-Bolts. Those steel ones gotta go.

You're right though, I need to upgrade those heavy steel bolts with some featherweight alums. Should only cost about six bucks for four bolts! If you buy single steel bolts at a hardware store it's just as expensive though and they will be heavy as the stockers and just as plain looking.

Yes the chop is my rolling testament to my fabbing. Lots of hand fabbed stuff on there.

You should show some pics full size. The forum pic function works well. Just title every pic so it is easy to find alphabetically because that is how they get stored. You can upload a big pic of each letter of the alphabet to make finding them easier. There gets to be million and the thumbnails are tiny.

Yes, well I got turned onto PB by Mass ZX-14 (he was determined to make his 14 a trackbike so if there is any way to search his posts, do it!) and DogoZx14. There are others who have the addiction.

This is the third thread I am mentioning this on so I guess I'm sort of proud of my weekness. I have now spent $1000 on bolts for the 14. Mostly aluminum, some TI where they are load bearing. I guess it adds up. I think I'm only halfway done, too.

Stick to aluminum as much as possible. You'll end up a poor bolt junkie if you go to TI and TI is only half the weight of steel. Alum is ~1/4 the weight. Good stuff. Just go LIGHT on the torque. No more than 60% spec.
