Gearing again, just a question on this I know this topic has been gone over time and time again but I would like some input for my use please...I have a turbo 14 standard wheelbase 280/154ft lb
Now I am a complete novice at drag racing but I'm going to have a go on the 8th of september.
I've been riding on the road for many years and do love to give it some! Don't we all!
My bike has a very flat torque curve and just keeps making more power the harder you rev it..
I'm currently running on the road with a 17/42 . I have the options of running zx12 or zx14 gear ratios.
What do you experienced guys recommend as a starting point for doing some racing...
I don't think I can pin the throttle without it wheeling too much.........a few of my pals go racing, seen some of the Rickey Gadson videos too, as well as been to many events overnthe years just never had the balls to have a go....will I be hooked?
I was wondering if I should up the gearing to calm it down a bit As it'll pick the front up up even at high speed.....any thoughts on this? Oh and start tyre pressures?
Thanks
Grin
