E85 VS 93 w 10 ethanol VS 92 with ethanol

I've heard many time over the using E85 is beneficial because of the cooling effect from the alcohol. But seems the same doesn't hold true when given the choice of running 93 octane unleaded with 10% ethical or 92 octane without ethanol. A bit confused on this. Can someone please explain?

I think I remember seeing someone light off corn, the other was crude. Huge difference in BTU. So heat makes more HP.

Heavy load causes knock. Higher the octane less for the gas to light on it's own under that type of friction (heat).

Knock-Knock. Who dare? Who that uses regular will knock-knock. Who's there?

Thanks Hub, so in your hubble opinion that running 93 with ethanol is better than running 92 which is ethanol free?
I thought main reason for turbo bike owners to run E85 was do to the cooling effect from the cooling effect from the alcohol. But yet the same is not true for 93+alcohol VS 92 without.

My bike is track only so my opinions and finding may not be applicable. I'd suggest either 93+10% or 92 pure wouldn't matter much. I've raced on 92 with 10% ethanol since 2016 until later this season as quick as 8.281@166.06 The problem I'd be really concerned with for E85 is you'd need nearly twice the volume of fuel and unless you're using a stage 2 setup with secondary injectors you wouldn't be able to flow nearly enough fuel. I'm using a data logger and at 8psi+ my stage 1 fuel system pressure is hitting it's 100 psi limit. Just my 2 cents...

Thank you for replying. Mine is still a registered and insured street bike. I don't drag race I just manly run on country roads w no traffic and then let the scoot stretch her legs. I'm running pretty rich while in heavy boost (8 psi but heads been ported, throttle bodies have been enlarged, so it's moving a lot of air/fuel) by Rich I mean low 11's AFR just trying to keep the pistons cool.. I've looked at intercooler but haven't pulled trigger yet..

Hum, I guess conclusion is, E85 won't work for me because we pack on some miles on and filing up with E85 every 100 miles doesn't fit. Also, sounds as if what little alcohol is in 93+ethanol is not enough for cooling the compressed charge. So, guess I'll stick with fresh 93+10% plus NOS octane booster.

Goodness, just revisited the post. I think maybe I should only post from the PC, spelling and grammar is atrocious. Sorry!
