Purple ZX, do the walk, check if crank is moving.
Also check the starter relay. Bbatteries are also funny things, they work and then a bit of cold and then they don't.
I had an experience similar to yours. I was doing some stuff on the bike to test fueling etc and when I came back after the bike cooled down. I had exactly the same symptoms. I also checked fuses, relays, charged battery and tried to jump start her.
I'm not saying you have the same problem, but check the left side of the motor just above the front sprocket and see a small clear bottle. Check that it's got no oil in. This was how I knew I had a problem, it was full of oil. This is where I shit in my pants and thought I had broken her.
I'm sure others can explain it in more technical detail, but in my simple understanding oil went in the wrong places and this locked the motor. Took it to Kawasaki and after taking out a spark plug it released the pressure. Drained the excess oil, Cleaned up everything including airbox, put a new air filter, and changed oil and filter. And all was good.
