We have been getting rained out to the point where we have lost 5 or 6 events this year a;;ready . Of course everything is 1/8 because of the cold .Racing at 40 degree air temps is not what I enjoy

Sacramento ..

Ridiculously cold to be drag racing but what the heck .... Only ran 1/8 because the far end of the track gets really cold on the surface . It was good practice on the tree anyway and I obviously need it . All .0xx reaction times all weekend except one run where I got distracted..
Sunday ( raceday) I was 5th qualifer so got lucky and got a fairly new rider. Pulled that win sort of easily but then I ran against my good friend , finally got some traction and broke out.
It was nice to get back on the track and be able to see my weaknesses at this point before it is warm enough for the full 1/4 and fun racing starts ..Next week both Sonoma and Redding are racing Sunday . Sonoma only has five races this year and I have not seen those riders in a couple of years , so gonna run there and skip the first Redding points race.
******Redding rained out and Sonoma was just too cold .I just cannot find good traction on low 40 degree days so I skipped Sonoma. We shall see what happens this coming weekend Feb 11/12. The tracks are trying their best to get some race days in for us.
