good balaclava for sportbike

The Columbia Backcountry Ride balaclava is about $30. I like it a lot because it is long enough that it stays in my coat while in the sport riding position. A balaclava that rides up won't keep the wind out but no probs with this one. So far it stays on my nose if I want to wear it that way. Does not interfere with my vision.

Has a slot below the logo on the side for earbud wire access. Extra seems are very nice for fit.

Also has vent holes on the the top of the head and over the mouth to allow ventilation. Some kind of reflective material in the sides of the head are supposed to reflect heat back at your skin.

Comes in blue black or white. i got a blue and a black. The blue looks very cool with my blue/black and white jacket. The bright color is a nice accent on the neck and inside a clear faceshield. One size fits all.

I'm happy. I checked around the net and this one seemed to suit my needs the best. There was also one by OMP (#KK03007) which looked very nice. I ordered it from Hoar Racing but they sent me the wrong one. They claim the 03007 is no longer being made by OMP. Just a heads up if you want that one.

Nice Clava Rook.I went with "biker's choice" myself. Some good long ones in there. My REAL solution to the length issue...cold air running down my back...was...to sew my best and favorite clava to the inside collar of my cold weather coat. This completely stopped ALL air from going down there.Easy little mod,and well worth the few minutes to do it.When not using the clava,I just let er sit outside the collar, like a hoody ya know.No problem.Looks cool...I think.Put a couple of snaps on the inside of the jacket back just below the collar, snap that clava in there, flat as can be.Works very well.

Grn14; ".Put a couple of snaps on the inside of the jacket back just below the collar" That give me an idea. Cut 3 small slits in the clava, and slide the straps that snap in the liner of my jacket through them. Thanks!

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

...Or velcro. Great idea. I just wish the snow would hold off but looks like winter is going to set in soon. I'll have a fast ride before I call it quits.
