I need some help guys. does anyone know anyone that can get a hold of top end parts for a zx14? it normally comes with the head assembly but its the bridge that holds the cams in place by the timing chain. if anyone can get a hold on just that part let me knows please

I've been told the camshaft caps are machined to fit the individual camshafts. If that's true, I would think that part is also if you're talkin about that narrow cap that goes on the far RH side. For what it's worth, the same person said he would replace the camshaft caps with new ones if necessary.

It's called line-bore. Have to have the head square to the table so the bore pass is not at an angle, where you windup having an incline; whereas one shim would have to be thinner on one end, a thicker shim on the other end due to it being out of square. Thus the one pass to all cap towers and [head] seat pockets for the cams.

Can you get away with a cap from a non-salvaged head? Yes. The X to Y is not going to be that offset it won't work, IMO.
