But, I just got a set of BT-016's with a 190/55 rear for $245 shipped.
Tires had very recent date codes. That's what I watch out for.
Bought a set of tires for my sons R6 last year from a local shop, really good deal...until I looked at the date codes. One was 2.5 years old

Ouch Steven, I should've waited. I drove over to the dealer during lunch and bought one for $194.99 + tax + mounting and balancing + $2.00 tire disposal fee. Total damage $226....bend over and grab ankles!

I will order a spare from your guy to have around for next time. This was totally unexpected and the tire had only 1700 miles, maybe half way through.

Oh well, live and learn!

Yep, I always have spares in the garage, 1 front & 1 rear, which could be used on ZX-11 or ZX-14.

I plug flats on the cruiser tires as long as they're in or near the center. Got 15,000 out of one plugged tire on the rear. This bike however, is just too fast to be foolin around with plugs and patches IMHO.
