New here and hoping for some insight. I bought an 06 ZX14 used from a dealer 1500 miles away. don't know maintenance history. It was delivered in January and I started it up to be sure it wasn't DOA. After doing some upgrades, (cut oilpan, PC5, Ignition Module for launch control, Nextup shiftminder for airshifter. 18" swingarm extension). Attempted to run it through the gears for data setup and found it "ornery" trying to shift from 1st to 2nd. did some reading and came up with the PNF mechanism could be culprit. What I'd like to know is, is it possible to remove the "3 steel balls" for the positive neutral finder mechanism without splitting the crankcase?
