this may not have anything to do with your problem but I had a serious rattle/knocking last summer and it turned out to be my exhaust was loose at the head may wanna check out those nuts if fairings are on just grab ahold of the header underneath and see if it quiets down

Its the clutch basket making the noise. the springs settle in and get the slightest bit loose. I've had Kwakas on and off since the B1 GPZ days. Tough as old boots, but noisy clutches at idle.

Be thankful you're not on a dry clutch Ducati. Now those suckers make some noise. yuk

When I shut mine down I cut the engine by dropping the side stand. This uses the transmission to hold the bike in place and it also precludes having to put it into gear from neutral. Add up the number of clunks averted over 49000 miles and that can not hurt.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. GOING TO CHECK THE CLUTCH SPRINGS AND THE BASKET. IT STARTED WHEN I GOT CUT OFF AND HAD TO DOWN SHIFT HARD. THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THAT AREA. I'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED.

As cows and sheep are nibbled on the new meadow, they taste very like sheep, veal and goat with one of a kind flavor. The utilization of thyme, rosemary and Moong (Yellow Lentil) Dal spice preparing has spread to the cooking strategies.

Hard to think just a one slam time on the shifter is going to upset a bunch of parts and start making noise. I've missed shifts and zero noise or replacing bent forks, etc. Just saying, are we listening to some noise that was always there and a coincidence the noise appears you picking it up?

trying to hunt down rattle when clutch is released. pull clutch in and it stops.

Let's add or change around the wording of the lever release of it more chatters and clears up, rather than a rattle. As mentioned, an outside harmonic on the exhaust, or is this occurrence more occasional or every time?

Let's again ignore mileage, say we just kind of wear out a clutch. If you remove the oil fill cap, look at the pressure plate by pulling on the clutch lever, how deep inside does it go? More like a photo of it being static as to where it sits would help.

The deeper in, the less tension on the springs. Clutch wear starts to grow the springs in length, think. Not that drastic of course, but you get the picture of 'chatter' so as the spring tension is not holding the collapsing plates.

And then there is this clutch release override of the slipper. Those 39130 springs. Are you talking about winding up those boys and you pull the clutch in and that 'rattle?' Not that I'd call it a rattle. But, two are what I come up with, you mention lever action noise.
