Hi everyone from IL
04/03/09 1:14 AM

Just wanted to let everyone know how much I like this site. I joined a couple of weeks ago and have been reading quite a bit about everyone and their 14's. I figured it was about time I let myself be known. When I first got my 14 I told my friends how fast it was, then as it got a few more miles on it I told them it was scary fast, now I tell them it is evil fast, and it's not even totally broke in yet! I was thinking of doing some performance upgrades but now I'm not so sure. I just wish the weather would brake so I could ride it more to get used to all that power. I love sport riding and always have. When I was young the only bikes that would handle well were the British, but no speed, the Jap bikes were starting to evolve and were great for going fast in a straight line. Then in the 80's they got it together and the rest is history. Well I'm starting to ramble on, happins when you get old, happy and safe riding to all!
Hal

Welcome,

Kawi better rank out another scar tactic. I am done and the need for out of the crate speed is the same old post.

I have cash and am waiting for the World's Fast Test are tapping feet as I get older I still feel no fear. Wear out is a closed course when you need one is we need to buy acre age and romp on our own turf.

Hub,
Thanks for the warm welcome, I guess I used the wrong words to describe the awsome power the 14 has. Till now the fastest thing I have ridden is my 86 1000R, which is like a moped compared to the 14. I am in my late 50's and am not so agile anymore. I have only had the bike for three weeks now, and its going to take a little time to get used to it.
I am not even close to getting put out to pasture, and I will ride the hell out or this thing when I get more saddle time. Oh and in the future I will choose my words more carefully.
Hal

Hal:

Welcome to the forum.

Several of us are on our older years (I am 63). You will discover that riding the ZX-14 will keep you young. No kidding... -bg

lytnin, I'm in the far south Chicago area, St Louis is about 250 mi from me. Couple hour ride! LOL

ALUCARD, My sister lives close to you and I grew up in that area, what are you having done to your ride? Would love to hook up for a ride together and check out your bike.

Hi, I new to the ZX-14 world. I'm interested in getting a ZX-14, since you a few of you are from Illinois, I was wondering if any of you have seen a good deal on a 2006 zx-14 anywhere in the northern Illinois region?

This looks like an incredible deal on a great bike. It's in California, but you could probably have it shipped. -bg

Wow, that does look like a good deal, no pics though. Does anyone have exp with buying motorcycles from private sellers out of state?

I see a picture of a beautiful red ZX-14 in the first message at that link. Are you not seeing this? -bg

No I don't see it. Hmm. I'm using the latest version of firefox web browser and I had noticed that I can't see the bike pics in the postings for the bike pic section. I did see the picture of osama prostrating himself in the off topic section posting. It could be my work proxy blocking some of the web elements from the page. I'll check the post at home and see if it still occurs.

Yeah, I bought my bike from a private seller from Kansas and I'm in Missouri. Wasn't a big deal I had him meet me at my bank(he delivered) and we took care of everything right there at the bank.

Hi Hal,

I grew up in New Lenox, live in Elwood now, but cruise around through the area quite frequently. I'll keep an eye out for ya.
