with carbon fiber rotors! It's a little difficult to get used to the look of them but they're growing on me.

Nice 14!

Thanks to Rook and Mad.
I'm still working on it for shaving weight.
They're mag wheel from Marvic.

WOW I didn't know mags were that light. That's about the same weight as BST rims.

Nice work on that sprocket too. I wish I could machine parts. I've done a few small parts by hand, brackets and such.

Well Rook, I don't know actual weight of these mag wheels too before I have them, but I'm sure they are very light stuff.
Compared with over 85lbs weight of OE wheel set overall weight, think that I would shave about 36.5lbs of unsprung mass, via mag wheels, brake rotors(especially rear), rear caliper and the mount, space tube and spacers, and some big titanium bolts, carbon front mud guard.
I am a experienced mechanical engineer that got some critical skills in design, that's why I make parts by myself.

Carbon fiber rotorwere being discussed on this page and the one that follows it. Brillo Tech and a few others are mentioned.

I suppose carbon fiber rotors are not too hard to find in Taiwan. What company made yours and are they available in the US?

Lightweight rearsets.
They are closed to OE weight. Most rearsets are heavier than OE ones.

The ZX-14 has pretty light stock footrest assemblies. My set of Vortex rearsets weighs a little more than one ounce more than OEM. 1 lb, 3.4 oz for the brake with an aftermarket break light switch, 1 lb, 6.7 oz for the shift pedal side with shift rod and knuckle. The Hayabusa has massive footrest assemblies so it was a weight loss going to Satos on that bike.

MMC composite clutch plates, about 45g per pc.

OE clutch clutch plates, about 3 times heavier.

207 engine hp seems a little bit bigger than original after clutch plates swapped, around 4~6hp added. No RAM boost.
The rest are from exhaust tips and the air filter.
After Woolich flashed,211hp.
About 1kg rotation mass brings 10~15% acceleration performance(depending on gears).

Aluminum sprocket and magnesium rim.
It just shave 8~9kg total for unsprung but handling and response quicker as hell than before.

those are about world record numbers for a non-boosted engine

Congrats, what did you do to achieve such power?

After 143 times repeatedly launch, gear 1 with 3500-3700RPM then hard acceleration, OE clutch friction plates were toasted.

MMC clutch steels just wearing a little bit.

MMC clutch steels sufaces looks smooth still.

Wearing amount was around 0.01-0.02mm.

Such clutch steels weight around 35% of OE steels.

OE clutch steels weight.

You are sure onto setting up your ZX14R Eswat ,your bikes unsprung weight saving is incredible . I got your rear rotor on my thing , and it is certainly the best light weight rotor option out there worldwide . I will be watching this thread for more astounding engineering feats from you , cheers mate .

Thank you Andrew.
I'm exploring some new material, include some super high strength light alloys.
Such like 7068 aluminium, better weight/strength ratio than commercial titanium, would help to reduce mass very much.
Somebody here will try it at Texas mile race soon.
