I am so sick of...
03/10/13 4:38 PM

... being pulled over for nothing. Not a thing they can do. I have all their required reflectors, "for the other guy" and I keep saying to office sir crumpkey, my reflectors and headlight on, do not spot the left hand turners! I do, you stupifuk. Go chase ockmed or an illegal. Gethe fuck outta my face. What do you mean why is the reflector here? Low flying planes you asshole!

Oh sorry officer, you are just following the rules and so am I. GOTTCHA! I love fucking withem once I tell them how trained they are and still meet and greet the left hander.

Hub here the asshole cops get all fired up about exhaust notes, ie, being too disruptive. Can't tell you how many nebulous pull overs I've experienced. Then they oogle the bike and let you off. Seems like everywhere you go, there is a reason to pull over a man on a ZX! Could this be a tax for us draggin fire breathers? But did I hear you right, you got pulled over for a "reflector?"

No, Wolfy, I was on the aprilia.

And every cop that stops me has been very professional. The last guy knew his reflectors, so I found the smallest ones I could find, threw them on the fork gators. He stopped me for this headlight and who wouldn't. It turned on with the key so it's really a parking light wire that comes on, no wait, that's the 14's headlight wire.

He told me he rode. I told him he came around the bend too fast as I put my helmet back on. Then again, I took that corner at speed and a CHP was on the receiving end. I didn't wait to see if he was going to turn around.

They see so many bikes here, they look for the obvious like no turn signals. I've passed cops with the headlight off. I have the R toggled for starting. It's just how much time they have or feel like telling me I need to have a reflector on like it's going to save me, not my eyes?

That's why I have that little goof for the cops. He asked what that was? I took my finger, pointed to my eye and said. 'I look out for fenders, not my headlight, office sir rear view mirror.' OK, next time I'll say that. LOL

I don't have any reflectors. Haven't for a couple years. Never had a cop say anything about that. Those CA cops must be sticklers.

Those CA cops must be A-holes!there I fixed that. I was pulled over by a bike cop who proceeded to tell me that, not only was my integrated taillight illegal, but my OEM Z1000 headlight, ( I had it on a ZX10R streetfighter) was no good and I had to put the STOCK BODYWORK back on!!!!! I bought the bike wrecked to build into a naked standard so I had a Z1000 fairing on it with a LSL Superbike bar kit. So, according to Officer A-hole, I needed the stock ZX10 R headlight, fairings, taillight, reflectors yadda yadda. I told him I wasn't about to pay $2000 for stock bodywork I didn't want and that the headlight was DOT approved for another model so what difference did that make??? I said that if he wrote me up for all that crap I would hand him the fucking keys and walk home. I ended up putting the stock rear fender and turn signals on it and had another cop sign it off. What a prick!

Yo Maddevil,
These Effnn beasts need to learn how to seperate the criminals from average Jo tax payer. It boggles my mind, why they harass us. Manybe it's because we work hard and some of us have project bikes and some pride/joy with our toys, and they need to take us down a peg. That's just bad news man. I get harrassed all the time becuase of my bike's exhaust cans. I can almost anticipate the stop when I make eye contact with the officer as I pass. There are some really good ones out there, but specimens like this (as you described) give them all a bad name.

... Hearing cops are this and that. I'm in the left turn lane. I creep up to the light, feet up, I see cherry top across the intersection waiting in the opposite lane. Figure I show the MAN I'm not all in some, point to your nose, count backassword phrases. Here sir, this is my routine anyway timing the lights.

Usually I can ding the light to change with this bike, but I was more creeping too long over the triggers in the street. So the green light changes, I take off. I'm heading up the ramp and this guy had to have cut off the car to his right. It was at night so I saw those huge cherries bouncing off the mirrors.

I pull over, he's saying something and I have the helmet on. Motions me to take it off. Did you know I had the light and you took off? No shit? Office sir, you got me. License and reg. Here's my license and insurance card. Let me find my reg.

I'm looking in every pocket, under the seat, back in my wallet 3 times. You find it? No office sir. I'll be write back. Hey, can't you give me a warning? Come on. Where you headed? I'm going to someone who needs me who is helping someone who is bla-bla-bla.

Where's all the stuff to the bike? I don't need all that plasticrap on my bike. This is an experimental. Those Japanese are whooping our asses. You find the reg? No. OK, wait here. He's now sitting down on the passenger side typing into that laptop, and I know he's looking at those freshly minted speeding tickets.

I'm so pissed not finding the reg, I keep looking and he comes back out of the car. Hands me back my license, card, then says: Be more aware of what you're doing. I give him a thanks. He's back in the car and waits till I'm suited up so he is kind of guarding me from the on rampers.

Before I got on the bike, I turn, point my finger at him, then do a standup One of these. I think the warning has more effect than picking your pocket. He made a good call and that is the whole point of dealing with traffic stops. Okay, with me it worked. I'll be aware of that simple mistake of assuming I have the light.
