I loved the popping but I remember someone saying they eliminated it by increasing the 0% TP to the maximum fuel adjustment with a PC5. Otherwise you could try the old TRE. There were two TREs and one was supposed to eliminate decel pop.

I would be very disappointed to ride a 14 with full exhaust if it didn't pop but that's just me. I know it's too much without blocking the clean air tube but after blocking that thing, it was perfect. JMHO.

It does sound nice but I guess I equate the popping to the AFR not being quite where it should be. Maybe I’m wrong.

On decel, AFR is 18 to 22 running stock. Open pipe is more hot air meeting cold air. Not too big of a flame in the pipe running that lean, right?

Tre is a limp code. Locks the gear select screen to a 6. Hack other wire, code sets a locked to 1 one the screen. Low throttle input is TPS, mid to heavy throttle is IAP. The vac takes a shit, it runs a Method for a/N, or vac is now 14.7 psi (760mmHg) is the math calk. D/J is digital jetronics is the other math calc if analog no longer sends in the many different signals.

But pre-fire enters all calc'd, post fire pops. Who gives a shit about post if the pre kicks ass.

Healtech makes several models of gear indicators called the GIpro. there's a model that is also a TRE. This will disable your factory timing retard in lower gears for performance enhancement. It appears that you can select whatever gear mapping you want to run on. If you choose 6th gear, that should reduce popping at 0% throttle. Locking to a single gear map is also beneficial for tuning all aspects of AFR. I've never tried a Gipro but I was considering this mod years back. It's been on the market for a very long time. I think I remember hearing about it in about 2000.

Thanks Rook! I’m currently Auto Tuning it with the Woolich kit. The decel popping has decreased considerably but I still have a ways to go by adding more fuel in the deceleration sections of the IAP/TPS maps.
