ROT/AKRF Tassie Tour.
04/12/14 4:08 AM

Well some of the ROT caught up with the AKRF guy's yesterday afternoon at Scamander, after a very wet ride up the East Coast and I have to admit there were time I thought to myself, "Dutchy, you have to have rocks in your head for ride in this shite weather to meet up with a group of mainlanders". But I have to admit it was worth every wet K to meet up with a great group of blokes and riders, from the mainland and the AKRF.

The night was pretty quiet by Tassie standards, although the meal was pretty good and so was the company. This morning it was up early and off to Elephants Pass Pancakes for breakfast, and although it was ok, the owner could read the book on being a good host and how to give good service without whinging about having 15 people turn up for breakfast.

After breakfast it was off to Swansea, Orford and finally to Richmond for an after ride drink.

Big thanks to Paul J who when back looking for a missing AKRF rider who eventually ended up in Richmond ahead of all of us. All up it was around 477 K's for me and worth everyone of them. I must admin because of the damp roads I buttoned off a bit and took it pretty easy and really enjoyed my riding.

A big thanks also must go to Kimba, PP, Paul J, Mick K & Jeff for joining me on this BOAR.

To the AKRF guy's, I wish you safe travel's from Hobart tomorrow to the West Coast and beyond, and thank you all for sharing your time here in Tassie with me and my Rotter mates.

TTFN, Dutchy.
