Best Front Tire for **Mileage** and feel/performance
03/31/19 11:37 AM

Hey guys...Noticed my front tire is wearing down considerably
..can see the steel braiding through the rubber starting to come to life and has developed a uneven wear. I currently run Pirelli Angel Gts. I did a dumb move and forgot to log the mileage when I swapped the front last time but I believe I got about 5k miles on the front tire so far. I just replaced the rear less than a 1000 miles ago so doing a full set is out of the question. The previous rear angel gt lasted roughly 16.5k miles and performed great. The front I'm not sold on. I understand 14s are hard on the front tire but want something durable. What other fronts hold up well.Im always being recommended Q3s.

I run 42 in the rear.... 36-38 in the front for better handling.

I agree with BBird1400. The ZX-14R is the only bike I have ever owned where the weight distribution before rider getting on it is 52% front, 48% rear. You are running that front tire underinflated. That is not only hurting your tire life, but is also dangerous, as it can overheat the tire.
