Dropping Out of 6th Gear
03/26/19 11:59 AM

Recently had my local Kawasaki dealer replace my 2nd and 3rd gear due to a bit of aggressive riding on my part last year and after almost two and a half months waiting on back ordered gears finally got the bike back. Now with less than 300 miles on it....with no aggressive riding on my part....I now have an issue with it wanting to drop out of 6th gear, or it wont engage 6th gear from 5th all the time. Disconnected my Translogic quick shifter and used the clutch as well to see if there may have been an issue but its doing the same thing.

Any ideas??

Did the dealer replace the shift forks as well? Hopefully they did. One that is bent or rubbed can cause problems with more than just the gears you replaced.

Mad may have hit it. Bent forks won't throw the gear deep enough and it pops out. No forks changed, used is fucked! Check that invoice. Too bad you didn't request the parts from the bike. Can't be the shift pawl, or you'd have a hard time with any gear going in or out.
