Aloha OZ, I'm still here and I did read your initial plan post and really didn't know how to respond. With the mileage you have on the 06 I believe it's a recipe for disaster. Usually when they fail they become a paper weight and can't be salvaged. My bike is a 2015 and it's a track bike only so what works for me wouldn't apply to your application. I totally understand the wanting to save money and be hands on but being a drag racer since 1974 I can't tell you how many times I've spent $1000 trying to save $500! I'd strongly suggest an RCC kit and you do the install on a fresh motor with a few minor mods and you'll be safe and happy for miles of boosted smiles.
