I think the longer stem v the shorter stem illustrates the point but the really, the best tool for this is a flexible plastic tube attached to the air gun. I have since used plastic water tube such as is used for refrigerator water spouts. I reduced the hole at the tip for better air pressure by melting the tip closed with a heat gun and then cutting a small chunk out with a razor knife. It insert a lot quicker and no chance of dropping it in.
