Kustom Komfort sells kits to heat jackets and pants (liners), and heat controllers.
They made me a pair of remote heat controls by hand, and they are very nice. The pot and knob, and LED, are together so you can mount them in a console or, in my case, a small pod. The electronics module is seperated from that by 2 feet of sheathed wire.
From the electronics module comes two sheathed pair, one for positive and negative battery, the other to solder to the BMW socket terminals.
I may have to patch one or both sheathed pair, in order to put it where I want it, but for most applications it would be fine the way it is.
Their kits are very high quality, and easy to insert into jacket liners and pants. They have been making them for decades, starting with rescue teams and snowmobiles, and now motorcycles. I guess since they ride, they decided to make stuff for bikers as well.
So later this summer I'll buy a kit for the liner of my jacket, and a pair of heated gloves, and for a liner I have for overpants, so come next fall I'll be able to ride longer.
Good company!
