Just wondering about people's thoughts on why Kawasaki runs the 14 so rich in stock trim. I started thinking about this after reading about a couple of engine failures.
Are they compensating for the overheating issues with the bike? Obviously an engine will run cooler on the rich side. Are they helping to reduce detonation? Detonation is a main reason for rod failures is it not? Or is it a combination of both. There must be a reason.
I am looking at running a full system with a PC5, but am a little hesitant. Am I being paranoid after reading about just a couple of failures?
Thoughts?
