Seems I have found another section to "play in".
Started riding at age 8. Bike was a Yamaha Enduro 60. We lived on the edge of Parker Desert, in Parker AZ. Mom found out about the bike an hour before I did. It was in living room by the stereo cabinet. She did not talk to my Dad for at least week she was so pissed at him. Of course, I was not. Ran to school trying to get it over with quick.
First ride up our street, ran into neighbors garage, then fell into his cactus garden. Mad Mom now got to spend 30 min taking needle out of my arse. Her mood was so improved. HAHA
My early days of riding were in AZ. Out in the desert chasing the adults in Jeeps buggies, and whatever else happened to be along.
Had a stent on 3 wheelers for a year or so. Could make that GD thing go almost anywhere. Broke the trail for the bikes in group. Had an XT200 next. Bought with my own sweat. Rode it hard to.
First street legal bike was a Kawasaki PE110. I think that's it. At 16 I was able to throw a leg over anything legally.
Welcome 86 RZ350 Kenny Roberts Special. SOB that thing scared the shit out of me for a few hour. Then I was scarin everyone.Dropped it racing a brand new Ninja 600. I did win, but dumped bike and twisted forks.
I have owned Hand CBR900, a few Kawasaki Ninja zx6, zx9 I believe An 05 zx10 that someone needed more than I so they took it. It was replaced by the beast I currently own. 06 ZX-14.
I average about 5k a year just riding. Add commuting and such and usually is much higher. Am a good rider when it comes to basics, and handle some of the higher callings ok. Never been on a road course. Did spend alot of time on a Dargstip before getting hurt. Still went after I healed, just hard to ride on handed fast. If anyone would like that explained feel free to ask.
My current bikes are both 06 one is the ZX14. the other a KLR650. Have fun on them both. Different kinds most definitely. Have to flip swict for power and brakes when I move between then. Damn near ripped my arms off after riding klr for a week. Got on the 14 went to merge onto hwy, whacked throttle open. It was fun, better if I had been rdy for it.
