Had a decent start for Redding points Finished runner up with 13 bikes ..

Decent start, for me, 13 bikes and I finished runner up. I had some adjusting to do with launching SWB again but was happy with the final three runs. The final run, I let the guys 8.05 dial in get in my head and basically took me out of concentrating. Oh well :) will add time slips after I get hom

Sunday I was kinda tired and was happy with Saterday results so was not really into it. I went out in the first round but DID go from yesterdays 9.50 to a 9.34 at 153.4 mph At least I wound up improving and headed in the right direction

That's scooting right along... 9.5 9.3... crazy!

The bike has another 4 tenths definitely..The rider just needs to learn to ride LOL This year ;)

Sat Morning and it looked like good weather or at least acceptable.. Turns out not so... Instead of mid 60s we began with high 50s and ended for me at 54 degrees ..I simply could not get traction at those temps ... 8 Passes before I threw in the towel ...Ranged from 9.77 to 9.628 except for pass number 8 ..First time I ever headed for the wall. As soon as I let the clutch out the bike went right and I was doing 65 before I started slowing ..

When I first pulled toward the tree they held me up ,as they had spotted liquid on the track . Two things might have occurred . I got into the liquid before they stopped me so I had it on my tire. Second, and I think what caused the problem was that I did not get the bike perfectly lined up straight down the track when I changed to teh outside lane . My fault for not taking enuff time to ensure I was set up correctly.

An interesting Discovery ... I sold the second ZX14 I had bought with possible bad motor , to a Redding racer that I continually beat over the last three years.. He had replaced the motor and was running low 9s, having been into the 8s on a good race day. It is stretched with a bunch of goodies including clutch work for launching ..He his 60 fts are 1.40s whereas mine are 1.6os, So.. He loves to line up with me now that he beats me :) Anyway...we had a decent launch all things considered and at th 1/8 mile I began gaining on him..Not enough to catch him by the stripe but enough for me to think that slightest mistake on his part and bingo.. he will be unhappy again :)
