Importers of Japanese wet laid vacuum bagged very high quality carbon fiber for many motorcycles.
So far I have the upper cowl, sides, rear sides, front fender, tank cover from MDI, and all the pieces are beautiful.
They fit well enough, too, but like all carbon fiber cowling, you have to grind on them a little to get a perfect fit.
When my sides first came, one of the tabs was broken due to improper shipping. They replaced it by having the Japanese company ship me new panels direct, and those were packed for international shipment, so arrived in fine condition.
On my last purchase, the tail side cowls, they emailed me after I paid for the purchase and said they had one set, but it has an imperfection in the finish, would I mind waiting for a new set to come from Japan. So once again, MDI shows it has integrity and wants to keep its customers.
