rattling sensor

I have a question that hopefully you can answer, if you remove the wind screen on a zx14 and then look behind the instrument cluster you see a wire coming up from the clutch side of the bike and is connected to a sensor on a bracket. This sensor rattles and vibrates and cuases a lot of grief becuase of the noise that it makes, can you tell me what the hell it does.

Thanks in advance

Tip over sensor = Shuts the bike off in the event of a accident. I used a piece of a old sponge with rubber tape and covered the baby rattle. Problem solved.

I wrapped the tilt sensor in foam and then put a bag over it and tie wrapped it closed and now I have silence and the engine sounds the way it's suppose too, I thought my cam chain was rattling but it was this damb sensor.

PROBLEM FIXED thanks Romans

HUMMMMMMMMM

I was about to make a thread about a rattle I hear at about 3-4k rpm,, then it settles out at about 7-8k rpm.

It sounds like BB's rattling around in a soup can (empty) lol.

From my car past that sound is called detonation,, force induction, and Im like crap

Thought it was my tank bag zipper claning together,, but no, not really.

Can someone chime in before I make a thread here?

Ya-I never had that happening with mine, but a lot of guys have.I just snugged mine down real good when I first installed it-doesn't move at all. That part of my bike is pretty"vibration free"-wonder why there would be so much vibration there?

Silv, since you mention separate rpm occurrences-just out of curiosity-what octane are you running?Happening on throttle application,or what?
