I could grab Rook, smack the back of his head each time he pulled more cable than needed, I'd be strapped on the back. He'd be smooth as glass I'd be done with that train wreck of a glazing!
I'm getting and image of a stick and carrot and donkey race--lol Something like this.

I wonder if that would work for an avatar?

My woman wants to know, what song is that? Sounds like it's off of the Donny Darko soundtrack???

Thanks Dogo. The song is The Funeral by Band of Horses from about 1995. One of my old favs. D.D. is something I just became a bit familiar with. Great mindf**k of a movie. that rabbit is about as creepy as it gets. Freaks me out. Do not watch at night when all alone.

She also just told me that I need to start doing track days... I said only if I get to use her 600... She said OK... Uh Oh!
Huh- imagine that- mine told me to get out!

How can I find one of those women, dogo? Is the iNet a good source?

I rather your first bike be a 14 and now get on the track lettuce "show them how it's done!" And I didn't say that. I left the pits and heard that comment addressed to me, you she? BRING IT!

Me Hub?... Only thing I'd likely be showing is how 100k miles on the street = jack squat on the track.
My thinkin' with using "her" bike is that it is a 600-J model... Kawi has made that bike a long time... parts are cheap and plentiful... besides 110hp and a 14.5k redline is still fun.
Could always trailer all the bikes to the track and rotate with each heat.
You wanna show them how it's done, Hub?... I'll come on down to Cali for a track day with ya... Not a chance of 2up though! 1 seat + 4 balls = NO DICE!

At night alone?... Shit try...

Actually met this one at a bar believe it or not... Neither of us were looking for anything more than a good time... that was 7yrs ago... go figure.

Is the iNet a good source?

Serious question? IMO, with dating (and most other things in life) it is best to keep open and utilize every option available to you.

Short shifts but is consistent. Tires mid-race. Makes mistakes. But she can pound that downshift... Makes you boys look like...

Are you saying that you wear the 100K belt for riding miles? And the street miles are 'jack squat on the race track?' I'd have to agree.

Ever see a cat step out of a cat box? All snapping it's pawsandshit? Those are goo bikes. Tube frames. Blow me! Yo see me on one of themshit for stainshoot me!

Who was that golfer, Moe? He carried his own clubs, the GPA was not for him, remember that golfer with the perfect swing? Caddy said he needed some club for this hit and Moe played the game out with the same club... "Oh yeah?" Showed that caddy.

You wanna show them how it's done, Hub?... I'll come on down to Cali for a track day with ya... Not a chance of 2up though! 1 seat + 4 balls = NO DICE!
My days are over me hitting some closed course. Get me addicted again, I have enough obsessions, thank you. And no, I'd have a remote inside Rook's undies. Buzz those with a few WATT did you say?

You crack me up, Hub...

Yes, I'm saying that I've done 100k road miles on sportbikes... and yes, as soon as I roll out onto a track, I ain't gonna know shit... and chicks, like the one in the vid you posted, are likely to pull my man card.

What a blood curdling beautiful noise that is. I listened to every last second. Now I want to see that little hotty step off that bike in her leathers and peal the top down. THERE is NOTHING HOTTER than a ChICK ona Sportbike.

Now I know I need a little screamer. GOODGawd how I want to wind it up like she is doing. I'm looking at wera.

Thanks, Hub. You are coming up with some good vids on various threads.

LOL!

Way too much turmoil in real life over the last couple years. I would end up a room mate for Sid Barrett. I had to beg for peace before it was brought to me. Nothing stronger than an occasional beer for me .

Hub, I love that vid so much I had to watch it again. Love that raspy noise throughout the midtrange. It is amazing the speed she scrubs with 3-4 downshifts spaced only about a second apart. I can't see the 14 doing that but I will have to try.

I have to have one of those little screamer bikes. What can we rev up to? 15K rpm?

The ear has to be smooth. This guy has an old classic and is hauling with a lot of track he is not afraid to use. Guy has nice lines. Clean, smooth, no added throttle. This is more our tach. We slam down to 7 and hope the front wheel does not start lifting.

Once you are kinked over, you come out of that corner, it's not a WOT the thing open. We have a nice spinner. I'd like the tire to break loose at idle but that's just me. Anyway, we run up to 9'Rs we are at the best torque before our red line. We want out of that red line. Yes, we want up to it, so we catch the next gear up [no clutch] just a light lift [off throttle] and when that gear ratio drops, you are back in the bottom torque once again. Get it?

She had a bad habit of looking back. She should have wound that bike out a lot higher but kept the rpm down and was not in the right rpm [if she wanted to take off from the pack behind her]. That made her use more gears than needed. At 7:00, you can hear her rpm drop out of the corner by the time she was around 7:06 or 7:08. I'd be reading an rpm scale for that lap and point that out to her. She, needs a little work, no?

I'll have to agree with a golf theory I came across as well as Kenny's 250 rider. I forget his name at the moment, but he too mentioned the same theory; 3 years you are not packing trophy with the tool box and bike, you won't make it to the big top. Imagine, Slow [the rookie] has 3 years in at the 1320 more or less. He is just one more trigger finger hanging in the bleachers with all the rest of the talent from the outside looking in.

That bike needs a nice smooth glide thru the apexes, Rook. This is not a 10. We more can go case slamming with a 14. Imagine, you gobbling up that 1000 down the straights then hook that speed into that right hander. I don't think so. That's why you need to slow down. You're missing the good stuff. And if you start to go casing the bike, it's going to spit you off or make a lot of riders pissed off you holed a case cover and half of that is on the track [saving another slipper].

Alright. Since we are sharing vids.

Video of me racing at Summit Point WV on June 5th 2011 with WERA - Senior Superbike Middleweight Expert class.

I am not the one riding the bike with the video camera. I am on a 2008 R6 painted white, yellow, and black and my bike looks like a 2006 Yamaha R6 special edition.

You'll probably have to cut and paste the link below into your browser. I don't know how to embed the vids into the post. If anyone here can do it, please feel free to embed the vid in a subsequent posting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC8cSPe1P90

In this video, my buddy Michel is riding a 2008 or '09 ZX6. We are racing at Summit Point, WV, on June 5th in the Senior Superbike Middleweight Expert class. There are Heavyweight Experts in front of us on the grid (different class), and there are Heavyweight and Middleweight Novices behind us on the grid, as well as a Vintage class. I think the vintage class was bikes from 1996 through 2002 or something like that. Some of you Scott Russell fans will note that there was a ZX7 at around the 10 minutes mark that Michel and I are lapping.

Michel and I raced together all last year, he on a 2006 GSXR6 and me on a 2006 R6. I won two regional championships last year and Michel never beat me, even though some races were decided by a wheel length.

Oh, one last thing, for those of you who don't know, the Senior Superbike class is only for riders that are at least 40 years of age. I am slightly older than the minimum requirement.....

Anyways, I go into T1 (that is Turn 1 for those of you who don't know) two bikes in front of Michel. His follows me and another racer around the first lap, then passes me on the brakes going into T1 on the 2nd lap at the .

I passed him on the outside of T10 going onto the front straight at the 4:08 mark, and you can just barely see me going by him through the outside corner of Michel's windscreen, then you see me pop out in front of him onto the front straight. So I carry more mid-corner speed than he does, pass him on the outside, only to lose to him down the front straight. Again. Urghhh!

Then I re-pass him on the outside of T3, and you can just barely see my helmet in the outside corner of his windscreen at the 4:41 mark and I pop out in front of him at the 4:45 mark heading down into T4. Again, more mid-corner speed.

Once again, Michel passes me at the end of the front straight at the 6:57 mark after gaining on me the whole front straight. Urrghhhhh again!

I re-pass Michel on the outside of T3 again as he approaches lapped traffic. He slowed for the lapped traffic and I stayed on the gas. That was a pretty easy pass because Michel checked up for the lapped racer.

And finally, right in the middle of the long front straight, Michel goes by me at the 8:18 mark - pure horsepower. Now I am really starting to hate Michel (not really, Michel is a nice guy in the pits, but I am really disliking him on the track )

What really bugged me was I was faster through T2-T3-T4-T5-T6-T7-T8-T9-T10, but I just couldn't get it done on the front straight (lack of horsepower) or hard on the brakes (he was better than me on the brakes) into T1. If you watch the parts where I am leading, I usually gapped him through the twisty sections of the racetrack, then Michel pulled me on the straight.

I need more horsepower.

Anyways, I finished 3rd, Michel got 2nd.

Whatchathink? Do you like the vid?

Pretty cool old man. See, you still hang it out no matter the age. Two realities. I see you hooking 80's and 90's in the corners and I'm going, that's moving. Then, the other day I'm looking down at 110 like it was nothing on this bike. You lucky wera bums, you have a nice track. I love that second straightaway. You can really hang that right hander in there hard with a lot of room. I could do some damage there too. Yep, you're good on the brakes there, Knees.

....so, Hub, do I get a 600 or do I get a new Zx-10?

I think I have to experience that 15K rpm.
