All last year , I looked for something to ride while relegating teh zx14 to teh track. Looking for something lighter as I am not getting any stronger and garage necessitates moving vehicles frequently, plus winter time riding means occasionally slippery spots when putting your foot down.. You may smile now but wait till you hit advanced age and you will understand , maybe :)

So here is the latest trial machine ..2018 used Z900RS with 2300 miles. Purchased by owner of car dealership who trades back to dealer every two years.. After 5 years of taking fairings on and off teh 14, the Z900 really caught my attention.. plus the 2300 miles and condition of teh bike just made it my new all around machine while I relegate teh ZX14 to strictly track work . The Z900 is truly in showroom stock condition except for teh shift lever cover to keep POs' shoe from getting mired :)
Saved almost 4000 over the cost of new which helped a lot also . as for ride, I dont really know as we are experiencing an Atmospheric River over California and just too nasty to jump on a new-to-me machine. but soon Today has been rain free so far so fingers are crossed...

A Trailer is for the Race Bike.
Street Bikes do not need trailers.
I've never owned a trailer, though, now that my Rheumatoid arthritis is attacking every joint I've injured, a Trailer may showup in my driveway.

It is possible for a street bike to be a race bike and when you want two of tehm to be at teh track, you need a trailer that will hold them both . The z9 will only make one event but I love weight slips, dyno charts and time slips.. They are important to serious BS ;)... Anything else is just that....bs in small letters :)

I have not done it yet but it appears I will be limited to 1 1/2 inches or so as the bars are teh lmiting factor unless I use an offset of some type . I think that will do the job tho..

Not sure of the overall drop but discovered that I could tilt the bars back abit and the positioning felt better ..
The Kawasaki Lower seat is also narrower and adds about 1 1/2 inch drop Slowly, this thing is becoming mine :)
Installed Givi rack and tail piece. Always had soft bags before so this will be interesting. Mileage under average riding conditions , as on a trip, have worked out to be 56 mpg .. That was not cruising at 55 mph either :) Changed to a 16 tooth on the front to lengthen the gearing some .
Givi piece is ugly but sure is handy , easy on and off too.

900 Went bye bye last year.. No soul is the best I can come up with ..
