Hey all. Im Robert from north east Iowa. My bike.... 06 zx14 mostly stock besides a few visual add ons that were there when I got it. Practically stole the bike cuz it had to be repainted. Anyway this is the newest bike ive ever owned. And by far the most powerful, guess there is no need to state that here tho is there? Had a few old kz750's and a yamaha seca II. Love this bike tho! So does the wife. She sleeps on the back while on longer tours. Comfortable and powerful, awesome combination. Why is it that now im riding a crotch rocket most other riders snub me off? Anyone else have this? Anyway glad I found this site. It has already very helpful.

The riders around here are pretty friendly. There are always a few Harley guys that ignore a friendly wave, but that's their loss. I don't know if it's my imagination, but there seem to be more sport bike riders out this year (a higher percentage relative to the Hogleys). -bg

Most of the riders around here are also friendly. I was always waved at while cruzin round on my old kz beaters (paint fading, exhaust cobbled up, duct tape here and there). But now its like pssshhh im better than u. As I grew up I thought a friendly wave was an unwritten rule of the road? O well dnt bother me still love riding just the same

the friendly wave phenomenon is a global thing, but even in the relatively small community of bikers here, there a some that wont wave at others, harleys (no surprise!) and BMWs (busy with the cappuchino machines!)!

I love salutin' as I go by. Usually they act "stunned" if I can use that expression.Like"why on earth are you taking your hand off yer bar?"Totally cool-sometimes, NO HANDS Freaks em every time!!!(don't worry,I'm not a squid)(am I?)LOL.I'm 56 years young.
