Hey guys.

Just took delivery of my new Monster edition 2013 (new) ZX-14 ABS yesterday. Took it for a 160 mile first day run down the California Hwy 1 to Big Sur and north to Half Moon Bay. The bike handles great, though I did get beat up on the northern half of the run due to onshore winds of 25-30 mph, and I was going NB so effective wind of 100+.

Previously I had both the ZX-11 and ZX-12R, the 14 handles very similar to the 12, with a bit more weight. I have no experience with ABS on a bike, a bit ambivalent about it, but I got a pretty sweet deal through Costco program combined with a dealer incentive from Kawasaki.

I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, so my riding will be everything - fast along the coast highway, mountains, and lane splitting - er, commuting in traffic in Silicon Valley.

Alices - one of my favorite digs. Broke my foot once riding in their parking lot - that is, I was walking to my bike with helmet on and twisted my foot in a pothole... nice eh?

@Maddevil - I will be there and look you up. I come up Hwy 9 to 35 from Boulder Creek area. What's your route?

Found an old photo of my ZX-12R and ZX-11. Nice looking bikes, the 12 was definitely a big jump on the 11.
The ZX-11 is a 1996, the 12 a 2001.

I got a 93zx11 currently being restored and a 97 zx-9 and a Busa I would sell for a 12 in a Heartbeat!
