I received this via Email today from Rod Singleton. Can anyone help?
I have a 08 Zx14 that my local Kawasaki dealership apparently can't fix my problem. Last fall my bike decided that if I kept the RPMs 3000 and below it was happy, try to increase it to anything above that and the bike starts falling on its face, I compare to hitting the Rev limiter. So far they said it was the fuel pump, so they replaced it, that didn't help so they replaced the injectors, no help, changed plugs, no help, tank was clean when I they got it, the last idea was they were gonna call Kawasaki Tech Support, a year ago I had them adjust the valves and they put in a manual chain tensioner, it ran great all last summer no issues, it has 26,000miles on it and a complete Sainless Muzzy exaust. I bought it new, I'm 66 and have never hit the Rev limiter. Anyone have any ideas? I store it at the dealership for winter, usually from Nov.1st to April 1st, it started acting up in October so they've had it there since then. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? All I hear is Cha Ching, with no explanation, they were going to call Kawasaki Tech Support, haven't heard anything. No news is BAD NEWS at this point.
Thanks. -bg
