07 14 Help
04/17/13 7:12 PM

My 07 14 has two issues going on. First when riding around 40-50 mph, I feel this shaking vibration coming from the front end. Could it be the tire or wheel bearings. Second while riding in 70 degree temp, my fan constantly comes on and stays on. The gauge is like 3-4 bars away from the H, what could this be. Any help is appreciated.

I'm mainly guessing here, but pretty sure your front end shake is most likely bad tires (uneven wear), if the tires are mostly gone anyways, replace both front and back.

My best guess on the fan issue would be a bad sensor, not sure if the temp guage is actually connected to the fan relay or not (never had to look). My fan doesn't come on unless either i'm in Neutral and the engine is quite warm (1/2 up) or if i'm 1 or 2 bars from the top... Granted I can count on 1 hand the number of times my fan has gone on (good ol' Canadian weather...)

good advice.. Second on the tire wear. have heard that often to be the cause. Rotors also have been known to warp but you would feel a pulse in the brake.

Third on the tire wear. The water temp sensor and fan are fine. You don't hear that fan, the bars rise to max bar, it's the temp sensor. Of course the fan is eliminated we assume it works. I bet the fan turns off you ride somewhat swift with some distance. Traffic in town with lights or bumper to bumper, yes, the fan is going to work what is still an air cooled engine. That's if you think about the fan finally being [turned] off you go riding off, right?

If that's how the fan works, then normal is the loop.
