GalferBrakeLine Fit

This may have ben discussed, but I was unable to find reference to what I'm about to ask.I found a good deal on a new set of Galfer Brake lines front&back for my 2010SE.I haven't gotten around to installing them yet and now I'm wishing to do so,but I have added 3/4 risers to my clip-ons and so I'm curious if anyone has done so without having to get longer lines. I selected the doulble line setup opposed to a 2-1 line setup as like the stock setup. I'm glad I chose the 3/4 rise set as I also have a 1" set.So if anyone has experienced or even has input to share I'd appreciate.Be good to get some input before I try to fit a square peg in a round hole!

If the only thing that will differ is that you now have an extra 3/4" to travers with the lines, I'm pretty sure stock length will still work. Point the banjos more toward straight up several degrees and you have your extra 3'4". You might find that achieving 0 contact with the forks and other parts is slightly less achievable but I doubt 3/4" is going to make a profound difference. Put them on and try them with banjo bolts finger tight. That will telll you.

appreciate the input rook.i was hoping/thinking the same as I had done so on my previous 1200.I'm hoping you may be up to also giving some input to installing a pc3.It's the pc3 usb model I have and although outdated compared to the pc5 I acquired it very reasonable. While my bike has minor modds and I believe I could do the install but not the needed adjustments I'm a little shy to use it.

I'm afraid I couldn't give you any info on the PC3 but just call DJ tech support before you do anything. You might be able to load a map before it's installed. They'll guide you through step by step setting the PC3 up and loading a map. They are always the first people to ask when there is a question about their products. You will need to have your map file on your computer desk top and then call DJ to download their software. They will probably do an interactive session with you. Just don't let them delete any old maps unless you have a copy somewhere. I think you can load the map on the PC3 without having it installed to the bike. Call DJ.
