Hey guys...This is specifically for anybody who has a HM QUICKSHIFTER **Plus SS** with Lever ONLY!!!
I have not been able to get this thing to work appropriately almost 2 months in my posession now. Everything has been installed and double checked/constant emails to HMs wack customer service/support. Basically I have had to have the sensitivity settings at a max 100% to register any kind of shift.Its not smooth at all. I have the shifter on extension settings and kill times set for 68 ms. I just got an email from HM stating that I need adjust the levers position to a more horizontal/ level position and have the toe spigot 180 on top.. to get a more accurate reading. I still are not able to register any shifts lower than 100% sensitivity.This is highly frustrating and I'm seriously considering a refund and go with a much cheaper product because at almost $800 this is Ridiculous.If one of you guys have the lever , if you wouldn't mind sharing your settings and a pic of your lever setup I could use for reference I'd greatly appreciate it. I am using the stock rearsets. THANKS!

As you know I have the module/strain gauge HM Plus and without SS.

Sounds to me like the strain gauge in the lever is bad. All sensitivities work on mine and I can tell the difference. I have been using the lowest sensitivity so the shift pedal is preloaded before the shift. 100% sensitivity was OK but I'm having trouble missing shifts at high rpm so the more definite the pedal input the better.

Yes I remember you saying so Rook. Dammit!.. I was wondering that very thing and the cold part about it is this is suppose to be a brand new replacement lever that was suppose to correct the first lever's spline fitment issue. So I talked to them(HM support) via email again, They recommended me trying to actually run the bike with the changes to lever position and toes spigot and see how it performs. I was under the impression that you can also do pre tests simply trying to engage a shift by looking at the LCD and lifting or pulling the lever,possibly getting the shift icon to register. They told me I have to run the bike to test.thats not totally accurate. Hmmmmm?

I've never tried quick shifting while motionless with the engine off!! I did do some low throttle tests with the rear wheel lifted on a rear stand and it worked just fine then. However, it was pointed out to me that this is very risky should the wheel's centrifugal force cause the stand to tip forward and the bike takes off like a rocket into the garage wall. Might as well give it a road test. Low throttle first. If you use higher throttle, I would suggest not doing it from first to second. If you miss a shift and stick in false Neutral, pull the clutch lever and shift up. Don't even try to shift back down. You'll be sorry if you do.

Exactly, lol I too was initially going to put the bike on the rear stand but was told that was extremely dangerous even though I see a lot of people doing it... and having our bikes on the stand run an increased risk so I learned about option B which was the calibration through shifting the lever by hand getting a registered shift through LCD. I guess I’ll just have to take the bike out and literally do runs and see if a can get a good medium. So far I am highly unimpressed.im seriously wondering is a Woolich/ Heal Tech/ or Bazazz unit as difficult as this quickshifter has been?

As far as fitment, it seems like you have been through a lot more than you should have but the testing, I think that will be the same with any shifter you might have purchased. Give it a whirl!

Right on Rook, Il just try and be more patient and keep working on the settings I guess and have a bit more patience! Lol I’ll keep you updated

I really want to know how that SeamlessShift works for high rpm full throttle shifts.
